Our Story
We met - Pete and Katie - in Barcelona in 2023, both originally from London and newcomers to the city and eager to start something of our own. From the beginning, we wanted to create a project that gave back to our new home - a way to connect people, share stories, and celebrate the local creativity we were discovering all around us. Serena Brisa grew out of that idea: to showcase small, independent designers and brands and help bridge Barcelona’s local fashion scene with the city’s growing international community.
Our journey started on the streets of Barcelona - exploring boutique stores, discovering the rhythm of the city’s street style and visiting local markets from Poblenou to Sant Cugat. We met designers in their stalls and studios, listened to their stories, and learned about their materials, inspirations, and roots. What struck us most was the quality and care behind each piece: small designers poured genuine passion into their work, creating garments that felt more durable, more personal, and far more unique than what we saw in the big brands.
Serena Brisa aims to grow into a space where creativity and community meet. Sustainability matters to us, but so does joy—discovering new talent, collaborating with designers and videographers, and sharing the stories that make fashion feel alive again. At its heart, the project is about connection: between locals and internationals, between designers and wearers, between art and everyday life.
